I do hope Rebecca Raisin will revisit Cedarwood Lodge in the future.
I could happily read the whole series back to back again! We rejoin Clio and her friends and family at Christmas, just after their first major wedding expo at the lodge. With the excitement of the prospect of new events planning for the new year the gang can now relax a little and enjoy Chri Cedarwood Lodge has been such a treat. With the excitement of the prospect of new events planning for the new year the gang can now relax a little and enjoy Christmas. Clio and Amory are already excited and are busy scribbling down ideas but with the boss of the firm making last minute changes the team at Cedarwood Lodge have lots to do.
The relationship between Clio and Kai is so lovely. They are both sensitive souls with background heartache between them. Can Clio trust her heart and break down her barriers to let love in? Or will it be too late with Kai with his family and other work commitments elsewhere? The secrets of Cedarwood Lodge slowly start unravelling in this book and for someone it is such a heart breaking moment for them to reach out to others and let them understand this heartache.
It just needed some like minded folk to refresh the bones of the place and bring some magic and love to the community that live, work and visit the lodge. Feb 25, Aisha rated it really liked it. A wonderfully fitting end to the Cedarwood Lodge trilogy. All loose ends were tied up and I miss the characters already!
A great read.
Dec 22, Kaisha The Writing Garnet rated it really liked it. I have really enjoyed following Clio's life and watching her grow before my very eyes with the previous books. What that was though, Clio had absolutely no idea. Her mum wasn't exactly volunteering the information either! Despite that, Clio put her head down and carried on doing what she does best; organising events. I have loved Clio's feisty yet vulnerable nature from the get go, as she is just so loveable. With this book, we get to find out the 'elephant in the room' as they say, and multiple things were uncovered.
I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting what was uncovered, however, because there had been such a long build up to the truth, I did find the end result a bit of an anti-climax. There was a lot of to-ing and fro-ing between Clio and her friends in regards to her mothers situation, but the truth part was short and rapid in ending. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it; I just wanted more! Rebecca Raisin has once again created such loveable, warm and realistic characters.
I really am in awe how every character she creates, even in her other books, jump out of the page and come alive. For me, that unbelievable talent is what makes Rebecca stand out from the rest. I have loved this series and I really do hope we get to see Clio and Kai in the future. I am sure that they will have A LOT more to tell us; my fingers are crossed. An uplifting, cosy ending to a truly fantastic series; I am incredibly sad to see the series end. Dec 20, Sam Still Reading rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: fans of heart-warming romance.

The final part in the Cedarwood Lodge trilogy takes us to what is for some the laziest part of the year between Christmas and New Year — and for others, the busiest. The group of friends and family celebrate Christmas together, with Amory getting a surprise present — a dog. Is this a plan by Cruz to entice her towards children or simply a sweet present? Even The final part in the Cedarwood Lodge trilogy takes us to what is for some the laziest part of the year between Christmas and New Year — and for others, the busiest.
Aunt Bessie learns how to use Instagram, gaining an instant cult following for her Puft doughnuts that grows exponentially. It also gives Timothy the excuse to email Clio constantly with follow up phone calls…who will Clio choose? The finale of the series is everything the reader could wish for — more of the Rebecca Raisin trademark sparkle and warmth, plus all the loose ends tied up in a satisfying bow. My review is honest. Jan 07, Rachel rated it really liked it Shelves: beebee-s-happy-place. In book 3 we reunite with Clio and Amory at Cedarwood Lodge.
Amory is head-over-heels with Cruz. All her misgivings all but forgotten she is planning her future in Evergreen with her beau, who is still enjoying his role as chef at the lodge. After the success of the wedding fayre Aunt Bessie is the talk of social media, her bespoke doughnuts are a hit on Instagram and she has been invited to be on America Today. Annabelle is working hard to put her issues behind her so she can be there for Clio. Monty and Isla are still going strong. Isla is hard at work in the grounds getting ready for spring, uncovering a complicated maze with a sad history.
As for Clio, her matchmaking powers are at full kilter, just not in her own best interest. Kai, the Aussie builder, is still on the scene. Midnight yoga is very much on both their minds. It has been lovely to be there as Clio bloomed from being the unsure party planner that arrived back home from New York under a cloud to the proud business owner she is in book 3. She has grown and developed. Clio is that person that everyone wishes they knew.
Her life seems to be about everybody else. Amory arrives as the flighty friend, in Brides and Bouquets she proves that she has a grounding effect on Clio. Lifting her up when she needs it most, and in Midnight and Mistletoe she is the voice of reason. Coaxing Clio out of her comfort zone. Dec 16, Alison rated it really liked it. This is the third and final part of the Cedarwood novellas..
To gain full enjoyment try to read the previous ones before embarking on this. Time has moved on, the lives of the occupants are all falling into place nicely except for poor Clio, she eats, sleeps, dreams love and weddings but the happiness of her friends relationships seem to elude her. This book takes in Christmas Day and New Year so it is absolutely ideal for this time of the year. The events are still being planned, a very awkward client puts enormous pressure on creating a party by constantly changing his mind.. Aunt Bessie is becoming even more in demand with her famous donuts, mom is at last opening up..
Kai is back but for how long before he disappears into the distance again..
I really grew to care about all these characters over the course of the stories and was relieved to see it all wrapped up with questions answered. A delight of a read for all lovers of chick-lit, warm, cosy happiness squeezed between the pages. Thanks to HQ and Netgalley, I voluntarily read and reviewed this. Dec 22, Claire Mc Partlin rated it it was amazing Shelves: netgalley-reviews , christmas-read , novellas-short-storys. This has been another lovely series by Rebecca Raisin. I really enjoy her books and, so far, have loved every series she's written especially The Gingerbread Cafe series. If you haven't read the other two parts I would highly recommend it so you know what's going on. We finally find out what the mystery is surrounding the hidden maze in the grounds, and the photos Clio's Mum has of a baby not her.
I don't This has been another lovely series by Rebecca Raisin. I don't want to say too much to spoil it as it's only a short story, but all the friends and partners are there and all loose ends are tied up - a happy ending is had by all, which is just perfect! A really enjoyable story that I would thoroughly recommend for some light reading, with a mystery running along in the background. I'd love to visit Cedarwood Lodge, it sounds absolutely beautiful.
I am now looking forward to reading Rebecca Raisin's next book due in April next year, the 3rd in the Little Paris Collection, another fabulous series.
Rebecca Raisin can really do wrong at the moment, well in my eyes anyway! Dec 22, Maria rated it really liked it. This small trilogy was full of love and friendship and these lovely characters will always have a little space on my heart! It's true, with a good friendship life always looks better! That's what Rebecca Raisin tries to show us in these beautiful trilogy, you can have love, but good friends are difficult to find and you must keep them! Please, don't read this book alone, it's a trilogy and you will miss After reading the third book of this trilogy, I have to say I will miss Clio, Armory and Micah!
Please, don't read this book alone, it's a trilogy and you will miss the magic of Cedarwood if you don't start from the beginning, I can assure you it's worth the read!
